"The Importance of Corporate Responsibility in an Era of Greed, Mistrust and Malfeasance - the Public Policy and Legal Implications for Changing the way we do Business"
Summary:
Reviewing the decline of confidence in the business corporation to address pressing social and public policy issues since the fall of Enron through the recent Collapse of the Capital Markets and our Financial System. With a backdrop of the fall of business from a high level of public support and confidence to an all time low. Hopper will discuss some of the key, precipitating factors that led to this decline, as well as disuss some of the predicates for it.
From the following perspective:
As a practicing attorney who has worked for and with large and small corporations and businesses, advising and counselling them on ways to render good business judgment in socially responsible ways of operating their business. Additionally, as an attorney who has held corporations accountable when they have engaged in fraudulent, tortious and egregious conduct resulting in socially irresponsible ways of operating their business.
